Washroom Sink

A ear ring was dropped in the washroom sink.....question?....should I tear the trap apart or just let the water flow through and hope it washes out?...2002 Dutch Star

Do you have an actual P trap? If so, unlikely it will "wash through".

Do you know if the bathroom sink is plumbed to the grey tank or the black tank? Might not want to recover it if the latter...

Take it apart. My wife dropped her hard contact down the drain once. I removed the trap, recovered recovered the contact and after cleaning and sanitizing it she was good to go! Of course we checked with her eye doctor first, but she said there should be a problem.

Some sinks do not have a trap now in new coach's your should and if it were a 1/2 bath would drain into your black tank.
Trap should be easy to remove on 2002, may even have a plastic nut on the bottom curve to remove.

Try using a wet vac with a piece of old nylon stocking at the end of the hose.

Last week my wife dropped an ear ring down the bathroom sink in our house.

I was gone for the morning so she got a bucket and removed the trap. Got her ear ring back.

If my wife can do it so can you.

If that baby goes into the gray tank you may never see it again.
