Talking Water collection tank

Anyone know if there is a water collection tank on the air brake system for the Dutch Star DP (2001 Freightliner)? If so, how often to empty?

Hi LewTippett,
There are 3 tanks on your coach. You will see only two tanks. One of the tanks has a wall in it to make it 2 tanks. Keep the air dryer changed at least every 3 years you will not need to worry about water in the tanks. The tanks are located between the front axle and coach bottom. There will be 3 lanyards. Pull each lanyard untl all air is gone. Then do it again. Your good to go.

We just had to put a new air dryer on a few weeks ago. Does it need a filter changed every 3 years or a new air dryer every three years?

The air dryer is a canister type filter. Every three years for the air dryer. There is no other filter for the air system.
