We used our A/C heavily while in Florida this spring. The A/C water drained down the side of the coach at the driver's side window leaving deposits all the way down. What can we use to get the marks off without damaging the paint?

Hi jillie,
In the future, consider purchasing extenders that go on the ends of the gutters. CW sells them. Once installed, I went one step farther and put two clothes pins (next to each other, clipped to the extender) on the extenders. Water now exits the gutter to the extender and down to the end of the clothes pins. Water drops clear the coach with ease.

Hi GaryKD,
GREAT tip! l already have extenders, but really like the idea of a temporary extender on the extender when needed.

I'll have to take another look. I don't remember seeing gutters where the water was coming over the side. If they're there, we definitely get gutter extenders. And make use of some of the extra clothespins I have hanging around.

Just used toilet bowl cleaner when NOTHING else worked. No damage to paint!
In addition to gutter extenders, parking with a slight lean/angle with the jacks, will help get the runoff to where you want it.

If water is coming over the sidewall your gutters may need to be
cleaned out.
These are the gutter extensions we are talking about,
They snap on existing gutter spout.

Water with vinegar is great for removing water spots--and cheap!

I have done the trial&err route for very hard water spots. The water from the A/C is "soft" water (no CaCO3) due to it being condensation from the A/C so normal "Black-Spot" cleaner will work (I like Turtle Bug&Tar Cleaner since it is wax based).
For very hard water spots the only thing that works is Mother's Chrome polish. To use it on paint make sure that it is not "Texas Hot" outside use two (2) soft cotton rags (one in each hand) rub on the Mothers rag in 4 inch circular motions and immediately polish it with the other soft dry rag. Result is that all water spots are gone. Follow up with a good wax and buff.
Before I learned this trick I tried everything from Iron-out, lime away, hot vinegar, Rubbing compounds, soft water, and vudoo - all with the same negative result.
Hope this helps

When we were in Quartzsite this winter we used Reverse Osmosis water as a final rinse when washing our vehicles. No spots after wiping off.

Best I've ever used is 50-50 vinegar and Windex. The vinegar cuts the spots and the Windex leaves a streak free surface.
