Hello,

I was having some work done at FOCAL Wood Products ysterday and as it was pretty warm out, I decided to run the A/C and exercise the generator. Ran A/C zone 1 for awhile and all was good. Then decided to run A/C zone 2. That ran for about an hour. While it was running I went to the back of the Coach to see how Carlyle was coming with the window treatments As I passed under the A/C vent in the kitchen a drop of water fell on me. I stopped and and put my hand up to the vent and got another drop of water. Took the louvre off and put my finger up over the lip and then the water started to run down my arm. Grabbed the dish pan out of the sink and ended up with about a half gallon of water from the vent. It may have been that the Coach was not level but wanted to check with those in the know to see if there is a drain that may need to be cleaned out?

This past winter in Florida, I had water dripping from the ceiling A/C registers. More so starting with the rear one and less on the very front ones. It would only happen when the humidity was very high.

I posed this same question to another forum and they told me to run the fans on HIGH instead of AUTO. I did and that seem to reduce the water significantly.

Just a thought.

See if you have two drains hanging out the back with rubber boots on them. Could be stopped up. Mine has an internal drain line running from AC down the back. It's an Essex but newmar's been doing it for a long time. If all else fails, take cover off of roof air and then sheet metal top off of the unit and see if drain is stopped up on top. Sometimes you can blow it from the bottom up to clear lines back by the engine.

Some coaches, especially the high end ones, will have two built-in drains that come from the drip trays on each side of the A/C, and Y into a single tube that drains to the ground.

I have had these plug up before on my coach but that simply causes the water to drain off of the roof somewhere depending on how level you are. It should NOT allow the water to drain inside the coach or registers. If it does, then you need to replace the heavy thick gaskets under each A/C and torque the mounting bolts to about 45-50 INCH pounds. The gaskets should not allow ANY water to come inside the coach.

Also, if one or more of these drain tubes are not connected correctly or may have a crack or hole in them, it will allow the water to drain inside the coach instead of outside.
