Water Pump Comes On With Momentary Switch To Off Position

I may be missing something here or just don't understand how the system works. I never leave my water pump on after use. I always hit the momentary switch to shut it off after each use. I have never noticed this happening before but after turning the switch off I can go back later and the pump is on. Fortunately I always keep a little water in my tank so the pump don't sit there and run all the time. I don't think it is any kind of leak because my pump is in the off position and should't be trying to run if the water pressure is down. If anyone has had this happened to them, please let me know what you did to fix the problem, or let me know if I just don't understand how the system works. Thanks for any help.

Could be a bad latching relay controller. This is the gizmo that controls the multiple switch logic.

Hi JMcG,
How many switches are there, in the coach, that turn the pump on/off? Do all the switches need to be off to make sure the pump is off?

The only thing that turns the pump ON is the controller.

The controller toggles between ON or OFF...and you trigger the change by momentarily grounding the "Switch" line.

I would look for a bad switch...look at each one closely to see if the green LED is glowing dimly when the pump is turned off.. You may have a weak diode. If they all are totally dark when the water pump is OFF, I think the controller needs to be replaced.

Thanks all for your suggestions. If will be checking all my switches. If all ok will start trouble shooting the controller
