"chromatic"......As stated, the water pump is commonly mounted on the left wall of the water bay. You might have to get down on your knees to see it. Most likely, there is nothing wrong with the pump. Your coach uses a water pump controller. It allows for multiple switches throughout the coach with less wiring than older methods.
Newmar used an off brand controller that has been failing many in the first year, when they should really last a lifetime. Here is a photo of what it looks like. This a photo of an Intellitec controller, which is the brand Newmar should have used. The off brand and the Intellitec look the same and connect the same way, so no issues with swapping to the other brand.
It should be located adjacent to the pump on the water bay wall. It has two screws with the upper one being a little difficult to reach, at least on the Dutch Star.
Here it is on Amazon

The water pump controller is wired a little differently than you would expect. The hot lead to the water pump (+) will be hot all the time. The ground to the water pump goes to the water pump controller. The controller works by pushing one of the switches, which momentarily grounds and turns on the controller.
So a test to see if it's most likely your controller, is to go directly to your water pump and put a volt meter on the red wire of the pump.....if it reads 12 volts, the controller is most likely bad.
If you find your controller is bad and replace it, especially with one form Newmar, I would buy the Intellitec model on Amazon and keep it as a spare. In an emergency, you can just run a ground wire to your water pump and it will run when the controller is bad.
