Water seeping at the Rear Dometic Toilet

Hi,

I noticed after a few days the water pump cycles on for Maybe 1-2 secs. After a while I noticed it would do this every 15-20 minutes.

I figured it out that the rear toilet has a small seepage overtime. Simple short term is to shut water pump off.

Has anyone had this problem? Solution? I know the toilet has an inlet valve must be a small leak or some other issue.

Calling NEWMAR tomorrow to see what they have as a solution.

Thanks

Place a few sheets of toilet paper under/around water supply inlet to toilet.
If water leaking from valve/connections TP will get damp

Tighten fittings, replace valve etc.

FIND/FIX the leak....water is a RV Killer

Thanks for the toilet paper tip. Good cross check?

When our coach was less than 6 months old the rear macerator went bad. It still worked great and since we were hooked up to city water we didn't notice an issue until there was evidence of leakage around the bottom of the toilet.

On my 2019 CS I get a little leakage from the fill valve and a little leakage from the vacuum breaker everytime I depress the foot pedal. Going to Nappanee next week and it's on my warranty repair list.

Called NEWMAR then my dealer. He offered to send me a replacement valve. Hope to get it in the next few days. Replace on the weekend. Let you know how it turns out.

"Canuck53"....My thinking….your toilet is not like a home toilet that as the tank drains, a float causes it to refill. The only way water enters your toilet is via the electric valve. If I were to bet, I would say that replacing the valve will solve the issue. They often get a small piece of debris in them that slightly holds the valve open. Unless Newmar wants it back, I think the old valve would be a good spare for an emergency.

I actually had a small crack in the porcelain that weeped water when flushed. Was able to open back emergency door to clearly see the back of the toilet and find this problem. Did a field repair with flex seal tape, and then Newmar replaced the toilet under warrantee a short time later. This of course wouldn't have anything to do with the pump continuing to run over time, but I have pictures of all if this would be helpful.

I looked behind the toilet from emergency door. Very dry. Hope to valve in the next few days.

I will keep the valve after checking and testing it out. Hope to see something stuck. Will keep as spare if allowed to.
