Da

I just figured out and easy way to back flush on my installation. All I have to do it disconnect the two hose unions then rotate to softener 180 degrees and reconnect hoses back flush then reverse everything back to normal flow.

Before when I was thinking of adding tees and bypass lines that would of been an over engineered waste.

Iím looking at taking a softener on our year long adventure. I came across this unit as an alternative... albeit a pricier one...

What softener is that? Looks like a good setup. Valving to not have to remove sounds like the way to go.

Water softener Installation (Easy DIY Project)

Powerboater, I have from the looks the same softener as you. I would love to do what youíve set up.
Could you please give more detail.
Also, donít you find it a pain to put salt in?

I have a 2018 4327 DSDP and I am thinking about installing my On-The-Go softener in the bay next to the Oasis on the driverside. Looking for some recommendations on the best way to run PEX tube passed the Oasis and electrical bay to the wet bay. I wish there was room to put in next to the oasis, like the OP did but the DSDP doesn't have as much room as the MA.

I have an Ď18 dutchstar and Thatís where I store mine while underway, however I donít have it permanently installed. If and when I do, thatís where Iíd do it. Itís pretty easy to get to and out of the way at that location. I just hook it up outside when we stop. Iíll usually fill up my tank and use the onboard water supply thatís filtered and softened anyways so I donít have to get it out every time we drop.

That is what I was planning on doing. The thought of having it permanently installed does sound good. After taking another look, I think there is a hole big enough between the electrical bay and wet bay already there. Just another thing to add to the mod list. Work is getting in the way.

Where is the spot youíre thinking of installing? I didnít see any usable space. At least not on my coach.

On my 4369 I installed in the first bay behind the batteries. Automatic unit regens when needed.
