I've used RM#3 but only of fiberglass.
I have read a number of posts that have used Mop and Glow on the rubber roof, after leaving the rig outside they were pleased, a year later.

Lots of folks have used RMP3 and have had good results. I have not used rmp3 , but have just recently tried Mop N Glo on the endcaps of my mh. Very good results in regards to shine, easy to do. I gotta believe doing a roof would be much easier than the end caps.

My endcaps were chalking so took some Bar Keepers Friend along with a scrub sponge and got the ends really clean. Washed it again just to get all the residue off then applied 4-5 coats of MNG with a old wash cloth. Ona roof you should be able to use a standard squeeze mop. It may not take that many on a roof. (It doesn't take many coats on my kitchen floor either)

Wish I had tried this tears ago on some of my previous units.

I would think using a floor wax on the roof would make it super slick especially when wet!!! I used 303 on my fiberglass roof about 4 months ago and I don't see any signs of chalking yet. I first washed it using my power washer, with a wide fan tip, about 3 feet from the roof. Then I sprayed the 303 on a mop that used a microfiber cloth as the head and spread it around. I used almost 2 bottles of the 303. It is a little slicker than before not as slick as I believe Red Max Pro or Mop N Glow would be.

Just to be clear about my roof... it is fiberglass, not rubber...

Don M., may want to check the caulking in seams 02 coach, they will dry out and need replacement.
I'm in the process of re-caulking all my seams roof & sidewall on 03 coach.
Check the side wrap caulking over the front cap both sides so water does not blow through seam while traveling, water inside of coach will result.
I wash my roof with Turtle Wax Wash.

Thanks for the info, I have checked the seams and cleaned and installed Eternal Bond tape on all the joints. Just trying to finish the process.

I'm not to worried about how slick the roof is after I get it clean. The slicker the better as far as I'm concerned won't let things stick to it. Where we stay in Fl. we're right under one of those trees that sheds it leaves all the time so if it don't stick that would be great.
My roof is fiberglass to... I think ???

We have an 05 Essex (fiberglass roof) and were starting to see some chalking. Too much Arizona and Florida sun I suppose. We kept up with waxing and used 303 too but it did not work as well as hoped.

I put in the Red Max Pro on the roof some months ago after a good cleaning. It worked better than expected. We have no chalking marks after rains. It stays very clean and bright. I would recommend on the fiberglass roof.

As a french Canadian Newmar owner, I would like to understand what chalking means ??

I would also appreciate members mentioning what type of roof they have....I have Brite-Teck and just finished the Eternabond sealing with 4 inch rolls for preventative measure - roof does not leak (yet !) - Thanks

Chalking (as opposed to caulking if that is the cause of the confusion) is the term used to describe the powdery residue from the fiberglass gel coat breaking down due to UV exposure. Not sure if there is a similar breakdown of the coatings on rubber roofs.

Think of running your hand over a school blackboard. You get the same result.

Hope this helps.

Which is the reason a fiberglas roof must be waxed(maintained) just like the fiberglas sidewall.

The Brite-Tek roof does not chalk and only requires normal cleaning and wax(if desired).

Our roof is fiberglass. All I have ever done is wash it with car wash and a boat deck brush and after it is dry give it a coat of Mop & Glow floor wax with a sponge mop. Seems to have worked OK so far however the roof never got to the chalky stage.
