Driving in a monsoon on the PA turnpike in my 2009 and all of the sudden, my passenger side wiper starts stuttering on the windshield and then SNAPS off!! By the time I got to the nearest rest stop, the only thing that was holding the wiper on was the fluid tubing! The metal had completely snapped! Anyone have any issues with this type of thing?

Welcome weazel5 to Newmar forum & irv2.
There was problems with the ESSEX wippers but you have different coach.
Here is a thread of discussion.
There is more wipper info in the Quick Tips link that may help you.

We have had a constant battle with the wiper arms on this coach. As a matter of fact the standing joke is 'Can we get out of Georgia (from north Florida) before the wipers break.'

Newmar has tried to 'fix' them 3 times at the factory and once at the dealers (last winter). This spring we made it to TN before the drivers side broke.

I have reported them to the NHTSA as a safety issue and will do so again of it happens once more. There is NO excuse for this to be a recurring problem.

I'd see if the new Itasca wiper arms would work. Just sayin.

In fact I've still got the original rubber in the blades that it came with. I did buy new blades several years ago but have never needed them.

Newmar has had many problems with their wipers in that time frame.

My wipers broke on my delivery test drive, never worked right and Newmar repaired/replaced them every year I owned the coach. All under warranty for 4 years on 1 year warranty coach.
