Got in yesterday and the parking crew did a great job.
Saw a few other iRV2 members who were working and didn't get a chance to talk.

We are located in the campground area with the fulltimers group. I think I got the best site in the whole fairgrounds. We have a beautiful view of the lake out our front windshield. What a great place.

My wife and I are here, too. I'll be at the Workhorse booth in vendor area. Please stop by and say hello. ED

We're here. Parked almost next door to the Black Pearl, although I doubt the new owner calls it that any more. He's got some runnin Arkansas Razorback Hog running in his side window. She looks pretty good though, Bob. Bet your still glad you got rid of her.

King, how was the trip to Michigan? You should not be surprised by the runnin Razorback having been in Fayetville recently. Wonder what spot he has at the Hog Park? Tom

Too cool King, truth is stranger than fiction..... wait til you read this story!

One of the longest trips I took in the Black Pearl was when I towed the Stacker out to Mena,AR and brought my SIL and DD back to Virginia.
My SIL was born and raised in Mena and they'd moved out there after getting married.
A year and a half later, they'd had all of Mena they wanted, so Dear Old Dad had to do the duty.....
I gotta tell you, when I pulled that Stacker and the Pearl into the Mena Walmart, you'd have thought Alan Jackson's entourage was in town as I attracted EVERY swingin' soul there was..... Of course, once they found out it was just lil ole me they went on their way.
Seems my SIL's father is pretty well known in the town, so the Walmart manager told me to stay as long as I wanted.....

Anyway.... what is so funny about all this is that the new owner of the Pearl has such an U of A connection.....

Sort of like the Pearl's found her roots again?

And........you're one hundred percent correct in your assertion that I'm glad I got rid of her...

That's about all I have from here in my rainy paradise.....

Hi Tom:

Trip to Mich was great - Spartan treated us VERY well at their rally. My quick trip to AK right after that rally was even better - 4 days of fishing/shrimping/crabbing which netted 97 pounds of various types of fish filets, shrimp, and crab.

We're off to Mich again after this rally to spend the month of July at various places in the U.P.

Bob: Thought you'd like to hear about the Pearl and it doesn't surprise me at all that you are so happy now. Keep it up...... That was a great story about your trip to Mena - thanks for sharing.

The new owner is here with a bunch of HUGE Razorback fans.

Weather here is beautiful, unlike the last DuQuoin rally when it was so wet.

King

King, it's ALWAYS good to hear from you and I'm so glad we both were able to get resolutions we were happy with.
As it ended up, at least for the time being I'm away from RV'ing, but the spirits are alive and well in the Black Pearl.

I can't wait to tell my son-in-law the "rest of the story" as Paul Harvey would say.

PLEASE send my best wishes to Marty.....He's a true gentleman if there ever was one.
With all the fun I personally witnessed you folks having last year, I'm thinking you'll not have to look far for some good times.

Keep an eye out for Doug Randolph and keep him in line.....

We are having a great rally, even though the numbers are down. Today I had three fellow iRV2 ers all come by the booth at about the same time. Scotsdale, Read & Learn, and Bill Smith (sorry I forgot screen name) all are truely friendly members of NKK and iRV2.com. We joked the only thing missing was some of Bob's burgers, cooked up by jetsmania! I hope to meet a few more before the rally ends. ED

Ed, I am aware there are some other iRV2 members in attendance who may not have wifi or other internet access...

GaryKD is one who comes to mind.... He may or may not stop by the booth.

I've also spoken to Doug Randolph, who is a regional director of the NKK and he's having a good time as well.
His initial responsibility this year was the parking crew, so he's enjoying some breathing room...

Our region did the food service last year and as such by the end of the rally we were pooped!

Just left Ed Gary's booth-Iowa Travelers and GaryKD were there. GaryKD has been without internet for past couple of weeks. Ran into Doug a few times and he can wait to get back to the new baby [Granddaughter] and Linda.

Its great to be able to put face with a names. Enjoyed our little get-to-gather at Ed's Workhorse booth.

I volunteered to serve at breakfast this morning at 6:30, followed by making popcorn for 1.5 hours with the Fulltimers chapter and then had to haul all of my wifes craft stuff for her to teach her class. I'm pooped, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
