I thought the level point was set for the refrigerator. I believe that the absorption refrigerators ar the most level critical appliance in the coach, not sure about residential refrigerators. The owners manual for my jacks say that if I want to reset the level point in the computer to place the level on the bottom shelve of the refrigerator. My Norcold refrigerator operators manual also talks about the need for the refrigerator to be level to obtain best performance of the refrigerator.

In our coach when the auto level program stops the coach is not perfectly level, it is tilted low to the drivers side and in the rear a tad, but a level placed in the bottom of the refrigerator indicates level.

Spike, the 3 degree and 6 degree specs ARE for the Norcold/Dometic LP powered ammonia gas absorption refers. The exact ones in our RVs (not the all electric powered rigs which run residential refers). I do not know residential refer level specs.

The reality - per manufacturer specs - that I am trying to make is that the level requirement for these RV refers is extremely broad in that you personally will have a far tighter level requirement for your personal comfort than the refer.

RVDude, I agree with you completely. Was trying to make the point the "level" may be relative to some refrigerators, not to "creature comforts". After automatic "leveling" is accomplished it may take some tweaking to attain "creature comfort" level. When doing this one must be aware that it could effect other equipment in the coach.
