What type of sub floor does Newmar use under the carpet in the front drivers side slide?
2005 DSDP 3810

The previous owner had the dealer install a different sofa before delivery. The dealer used 4 either # 6 or #8 wood screws to secure it. It did not take much of my "big o Butt" with the bed made out to pull the wood screws out.

My 1st preference on securing would be to use bolts, nuts and washers. I am afraid that might catch the bottom weather stripping as the slide moves in and out.

It's just plywood. Yes, even EX's use just a few little ol' wood speed-screws to secure things in place. Go outside and watch the underside of the slide deploy (be careful) and make sure that nuts won't interfere where you think you'll put them. I suspect you'll be fine.

Ripped the bed out eh? I think I'll leave that one alone!!!!!!!

Thanks RV Dude, I went a head and used lag screws I had on hand. I think carriage bolts from the bottom and nuts on top will work if I pull the lag bolts out.
I had 300 lbs of nephew-in-law and 250 lbs of niece sleeping on it. That is a hole lot of leverage when the couch is made out.

That is my story and I am sticking to it
