What it takes to remove the fireplace on a DS

I have a 2015 4018 DS and am having problems with the Televator. There may be a short (all the answer I could get from Newmar, take the coach to a dealership) behind the Fireplace so am wondering just what it takes to remove it if it comes to that.

Has anyone removed theirs or had the opportunity to see one removed? I don't see any screws on the front of the Fireplace around the trim or any plugged screw holes..

Also, can the Televator be stopped part way while going up or down by pulling a fuse? If so, what fuse would it be? That would make it somewhat possible to reach the two plug-ins down behind the TV, and maybe not have to pull the Fireplace.

Appreciate any ideas here.

No need to pull a fuse Allen. When the televator is going up depress the televator down switch and it will stop. Same thing when the televator is traveling down, just press the up side of the switch and it will stop.

Golly how simple. Thanks Scott. Guess I figured pressing the opposite direction switch would send it back in that diren so never thought to try it.

We have the same fireplace. Grab each side of the trim and push upward. The trim will slide up and off revealing the mounting screws.

Thanks Jerry. Just hoping it won't be necessary to do that, and may the dealer will have a young skinny long armed tech that can reach down to what looks like a control box with two whitish clear like plastic plugs that may just need seating better. I could reach them with a rubber tipped can we carry and was able to press them a little from the upper opening, but couldn't tell that anything moved. Yet that made the Televator start working again. Maybe I moved a wire or two in the process but still I want a tech to look at it next week when we're in the get the broken kitchen slide motor bracket replaced. The one Newmar CS says is a simple fix yet the service manager says it may take more than one day to do it.
