Hope to pick up a 2001 MADP Spartan MM w/350HP.
Dealer says it has a 6-speed Allison xmission -- what model Allison is that?

That would probably be a 3000MH.

I'm with lug but didn't they also run the 2000 series on the 350 and smaller motors??? I don't know. Not sure what identifying markings there are but you could always pull the serial number from the xmsn case and call Allison.

Hey Jeff. Has to be a 3000 series as the torque of 1050 ft.lbs, which was the spec's of the ISC that year,. exceeds the capacity of a 2000.

And that's why the Dr. is IN! Thanks Peter.
I think I'll go mix me one now and see if I can in any way do it as well as the good Doctor...

Some times I wish I had a DP so I could MIX IT UP.
Must be the diesel fuel that does make you want to relax.

My 2000 Dutch Star DSDP has the MD3060. I will be willing to bet that is the model you have.

It could be either. The MD was available in both a 5 and 6 speed. Many were only rated for 950 ft. lbs. torque max. The MH came only in a 6 speed and was rated up to 1200 ft. lbs. But, both were similiar 3000 series transmissions.

Tell the dealer to look at the label on the wall behind the drivers seat. It will give the model number and a lot of other information.
