Whatís this hot water line for?

I was connecting a hose to the spigot near the generator and noticed that the water line had a tee just before the spigot. From the tee, the hot water line went down towards the ground with a shutoff valve part way down. The water line doesnít connect to anything. I was thinking that perhaps it was a line to flush the hot water system, but why would they do that with a spigot located in the same area. Any ideas?

Buy a 10 foot hose stored it in your front driverís basement compartment and use this hot water source to clean bugs off each day at the end of your travel. It works like a charm and that way you donít need a long hose from your water compartment.

Actually the blue coil hose you see in the picture is a 15í hose which I have connected to the spigot and have mounted the spray end to the inside of the generator slide cover so that I can quickly open the slide, turn the water on and start spraying. I wanted to minimize the time it would take to clean the windshield in the event Iím doing it at a truck stop with a line of trucks behind me.

Itís the other tubing (circled in picture) which doesnít have a faucet attached to it that has me intrigued.

Winterization is the only use I could come up with, but why since thereís a spigot right there to drain the lines.

I agree with OP. The tee seems at the same height as the spigot. It could be for convienence of not having to hookup a hose to direct the water/air/antifreeze for storage. The back flow preventer on the spigot may drip regardless...........
