We have an warranty appt. set for Monday the 15th. Plan on getting there on Sunday. Do I need to set an appt to be able to have a space to spend the night Sunday when we get there? Is the camp area at the same place i will get the service? Thanks ,,Vacman

Hi VACMAN,
The service sites are first come first served. If there is an orange cone blocking the site do not park there. The full hookup sites are next to the customer lounge building. Other sites stretch out west one block and then south along a fence. All sites have 30 or 50 AMP electric. Some sites have water. Only the sites next to the customer lounge building have sewer. There is also a dump station next to the customer lounge building.
The service techs will be at your coach promptly at 6 AM. They expect you to be unhooked from shore utilities and ready to discuss the activity list. They will return your coach any time after 2:30 PM. The lead tech will go over with you the results of the day's work. They will also leave a paper trail in your coach telling the status of your list of things to be repaired.
During the day, your on your own as to how to fill your time. If you want additional information about what to do, post here or read the "sticky" posts at the top of this forum.
If this is your first time to the area, I can guarantee you'll enjoy Amish cooking. In addition, if anyone in the family enjoys interior decorating with hand made goods, you may need a trailer to haul away all the stuff one can purchase.
The RV museum/Hall of Fame is just North of Elkhart, next to the toll road. Also, Shipshewana is a really nice town to visit. If you have a GPS, in the toad, take the back roads from Nappanee to Shipshewana. You'll pass through the Amish country tourist don't usually see.

After the tech takes your coach, you can hang out in the customer lounge for a bit, or go directly to the official unofficial breakfast restaurant.
It's the Country Corner in Nappanee. Head back on Rt 6 to Rt 19, turn right and its on the left at the end of the first block.
The full hook up sites w/50 amp, customer lounge and parts dept are at the corner of Arnott and Cheyenne Sts.
The other sites are 1 block west at the corner of Cheyenne and Delaware Sts.
50 amp on Delaware St, 30 amp on Cheyenne St.

Louise isn't there anymore. She was laid off earlier this year, as I recall. So there's no officially a host in the lounge, but Jeanne in Parts or another person behind the counter is available if there are questions. We never actually bothered to check in.
The techs return the coaches to the lot starting at about 2pm. Unless they're working OT, they're on their way home at 2:30.
If you really want to get into the lot by the lounge, you might want to arrive on saturday or early on sunday. It usually fills up early.

VACMAN I hope this is right.
On the first day the techs come to your rig anytime between 6am to 10am. If no one shows up by the time Jeanne get to the parts desk speak to her.

On one of the past threads on this site I read where someone said that after you check in at 6:00am, a lot of them go to (unoffical, offical breakfasat place) It had the name and directions to the restuarant. I have tried to refind that thread but no luck..Anyone know to what I am referring to?

Re: Louise:
Just checked my July 7 appointment and in my paper work I'm told to check with "Louise" my special host!!?? Maybe I'm special or probably my paper work was mass produced and out of date; until I'm informed otherwise I'll stick with being SPECIAL.

Louise, bless her heart, made everyone special.
If you didn't want to follow the rules, you were the wrong kind of "special".
