What would you do with this space?

Hey all!

Starting to organize and configure the outside spaces in our coach before full-timing next year with our family of five. Storage is at a premium given the low amount of basement storage in the All Star models (i.e. There is no pass through storage).

However . We have a fairly roomy compartment in the rear cap (see pictures) - any recommendations for usage? Thanks!

I have an almost identical space on the side of my rig, including the peg-board backer, and I use it for my tool bay. Everything hangs off hooks and or baskets, etc. and it makes it REALLY handy to organize common tools.

You want to place as much stuff HIGH in that bay to get maximum use. Heavy and often used stuff down low. You could use the "broom handle clips" on the back wall to hold things like a broom, rake, car wash poles, etc.

You can also make storage boxes or cabinets in the half the space for small items and leave the other half open for tall stuff.

Look all around the coach. For years, on two previous coaches and even my Dutch Star, I have found storage up in the frame for the blue tote tank. A large item that I use infrequently and is hidden in a dead area of the frame.

Look inside too. Often, lower drawers, when removed will have dead area under them. I've used these spaces for hiding items or storage of tings yo rarely use.

You can even look under the hood and will find dead areas off to the left or right of the engine compartment (like near or below the headlights).

What would you do with this space?

Great tips, thanks! Do you have issues with stuff falling off the pegboard hooks while driving?

I have the same Newmar Pegboard on the side. Converted it to accommodate all my cleaning bottles, lubes etc.

Sorry for the upside down photo. Seems to be a thing between Apple and Irv2.

Did the same with our pegboard (which really isn't, there's some kind of panel up against the backside of the pegboard) bay.

I don't. Everything stays pretty secure in the hooks. The shelves like some of the other respondents posted pictures of would be very secure, I would think.
