What's this vent in the bedroom?

We've had the Dutch Star for 1-1/2 years now and found something today that we don't know what it is.

We have a 2006 DSDP 4023, and in the bedroom, on the curb side rear wall near the floor there is a metal screen, looks like a vent. Right above it is a wood louvered vent. We didn't take the vent screen off but with the engine access panel open you could see there was a motor behind the vent with "12V Fasco" on it. There's an electrical connection going to it and 2 hoses, probably 3/4", that run into the engine compartment. One of the hoses has an in-line shut-off that indicates Open or Closed. So what is this for??

Thanks!

Its probably the bedroom auxillary heater that warms the bedroom when the engine is running. The hoses contain coolant from the engine and the fan blows the heat into the room.

Ah ha! That's why the bedroom gets so hot while we're traveling. Too bad it only works when the engine's running. Thanks guys.
