When to wax new coach

I thought I saw this thread somewhere but couldn’t find it. Does anyone know when Newmar recommends to apply to the first wax or paint sealant to a new coach? I’m looking at McGuire’s or Klasse the first time since I already have them on hand. Thanks in advance.

Mark

Newmar says to wait at least six months.

I looked up Rejex and see several different products. Which ones do you use and where? Is this for the first six months or after?

I just finished reading the owners manual that Newmar emailed me and it said to wait 90 days before waxing. Did it change or did I get an old copy?

something along these lines, we are in the process of purchasing new 2018 Ventana and the dealer is telling us Newmar requires waxing twice a year or the warranty will be voided.
They are trying to sell us a paint enhancement something or other that means the coach does not need to be waxed?
Sounds like b...
would be happy to hear from you

The information is in the package you receive when you pick up your new coach. I don't understand why people do not read the information they are given.
Having said that, my dealer had washed and polished the coach before I collected it and it was before the date in the Newmar package. 3 years later the paint is fine so I don't think it is a major issue.
I polish mine with NuFinish once a year, if anyone is interested.

I second that!.......Spend all that money, and won't take the time to read the stuff......makes no sense to me...

We picked up our new rig last month.
The literature given to us says to wait 3 months before waxing.
The dealer tech at the PDI told us the same thing.

To Bob and Algoma - appreciate your valuable input about reading the information that is in the package when i receive the new coach.
Please read my post - we are in the process of purchasing - before you criticize "won't take the time to read the stuff" - difficult to do before purchase.
Please read my post - my question was whether Newmar makes you wax twice a year in order not to void the paint job as the dealer has told us, probably in order to sell us another was job insurance or something

I'm curious about the "paint enhancement" too. Is it a typical dealer add on that has little value, or does it really work?
