In my signature coach, there is a 7.5 AMP ATC blade fuse for the radio. I am not finding a local store that carries this fuse. I have tried:

NAPA

Advance Auto

Pep Boys

WalMart

Target

Kmart[/list]
1. Does anyone know of a brick and mortar store that carries this fuse?

2. Will a 7.5 AMP ATM (slightly smaller) size fuse fit and work okay?

thanks,

Gary, Is there room to use an inline fuse? That is, get an inline fure from Radio shack and a 7.5 amp fuse. Also get two spade connectors that you put on each end of the inline. Now insert the spades into the knife action holder.

Peter,
There is room for what you suggest. I'll wait to see if others respond. My #1 choice is to remain as the factory built the coach. There are three more of these fuses. If I can not find a replacement, as time passes, I might need to replacate your recommendation to more than one location.

Hi! We have found all the fuses that are in our coach at Pep Boys (you have to look carefully) and another auto chain (I forget the name) they had the Buss fuses. I have also found the smaller ones, I think they had the bigger ones also, at Lowes (near where they sell volt meters and small electrical stuff). I needed them in a pinch and they sell them as an assortment. I have also seen them at some big truck stops. Maybe radio shack? Paul

I have asked Advance Auto to order parts for me and they are usually available the next day.
Speak with the manager if the counter man seems to be confused.

I have been looking since this morning I have them in a assorted pack and I found them at RS. went to same places but also Auto-Zone as you, but finally found at RS.
They are the size I need in dash and bedroom fuse panels.

You are fortunate your RS stores have fuses. All the ones around here have gone completely consumer products. They are like a miniture Circuit City.

I got the fuses! . NAPA had them on their web site but the two stores closest to me did not carry them in the store (only in a multi pack). A NAPA store a bit farther away had them. I needed to do some other errands so off I go. To make this a real adventure, the wife had taken the toad (has GPS). I took the remaining vehicle (no GPS). Compared to all the problems we have to deal with, nobody is going to feel sad for me having to take a local trip without GPS. Since I did not know where I was going and have not gone anywhere in a vehicle without GPS in over 2 years, this was an adventure. The bottom line is that I need GPS. Sally, I call her Sally, has served me well and I am now completely dependent on her. Approaching my destination, I was in the wrong lane and had to circle back to get to the store. This is where Sally is invaluable. I always know what lane to be in well in advance of a turn. Now I guess I'll be looking for another GPS unit. I can't wait to get this expense by the family CFO.

I'd love to hear you "pitch" THAT ONE to the wife....

Please buy a box (5) or so fuses. In life, one can never be too rich, too thin or have too many fuses. I'm glad to hear you got there safe and sound. Per your request, I will not tell you about the weather here.
thanks
