Anyone have any suggestions where I can get body work done on my coach close to St Louis. A post jumped up and got my door and trim on the drivers side right in front of the Hydro-hot door. Called Newmar and they are booked till Nov. I here they sub it out anyway.
Any suggestions?

Newmar repaired the body damage on my DSDP. At one time they, sent overflow work to Duncan.

Is there a Newmar dealer in the area who could suggest a facility?

Here’s a couple form their "find a dealer" that might be along your way and or be able to advise you???
COACHLIGHT RV SALES INC
5327 S GARRISON AVE
CARTHAGE, MO 64836 417-358-7444
Off Rt. 44 SW of St. Lou.
R&S SALES & SERVICE
218 S LAKE OF THE WOODS ROAD
MAHOMET, IL 61853 217-586-2055
@Rt’s 72 & 74 about the same distance NE of St. Lou.
You might call Newmar's customer service, our dealer dropped them but still remains an authorized service station who actually farmed our damage out to a large local auto body shop, so there may be someone nearer to St. Lou, but not listed in their “find a Dealer”. Good Luck.

If your making a trip through or near Georgia, call Apalachee RV. They did some paint work for me under Newmar warranty and their work is nothing short of excellent. I also saw some body repair on other coaches there and the qaulity was top notch. They have a new downdraft spray booth large enough to accomodate ANY coach.

Most body repairs/paint work can be done by a quality auto body shop. The main questions are whether their doors are high enough (at least 12-13 feet) for your coach. So check with the reputable body shops in the St Louis area. I have found a very good one in KC that has repaired basement doors, match paint/striping, etc. Call your insurance company and ask them who they send RV repairs to. Not everything has to go back to the factory. They can either order parts or have them fabricated as needed (internally or externally).

ak - You might consider waiting until January and take advantage of Newmar's winter shop rates something like $75/hr and access to all the fab that needs to be done can be done right there on the original fab lines.
Newmar also runs a great drop off and pick up whenever convenient service including a free winterizing as well.

I would like to just take it to Newmar and have piece of mind. The have the trim and will have to have a door made. I'm not in a hurry. It looks like crap but I straigtened the door and re-braced it for now.

A K,
I would contact Precision Painting They did all the Coach painting for TS when they were in business. I had body work, including insurance and a full paint job done by them and was absolutely pleased with every thing they did. Body parts were obtained from Newmar, all other items like awnings were from suppliers in the Elkhart area. Paint job better than Newmars on highline coaches.
Their phone # is 866-909-4473 and web site PrecisionPaintingRV.com.
You will be pleased. A satisified customer.

One option is to go body shop shopping.. I happen to have a body man near me who, in his younger days, was the contract body man for Grayhound (or is it Greyhound, the bus company) He did a first rate job on some damage on my rig for about 1/2 what I'd have paid elsewhere.
The problem is finding such a shop..... I already knew him before I got the rig.
