It might be nice, buddy, but impractical. The builders DO carry those parts that are used in some unique way. But RV builders produce far fewer units than car makers, and in some cases change suppliers more frequently.
In warranty cases, of course the dealer tracks down and orders the part. But in most cases it's far more efficient for the dealer to simply refer the owner to the proper supplier than it would be for him to maintain an inventory of parts for a device that may only appear in 40 of his motorhomes.
The really helpful thing would be for owners to be more careful with the books and manuals that come with the RV. That way the owner would have no trouble knowing exactly where to go to find information about his broken device. Most new units come with a host of information, a manual for the RV itself, and a manual for every device installed in it. But somehow these get lost , or thrown away by stupid people who think they're worthless, and many 2nd or 3rd owners have no source of reference at all.
