Hi all,
Due to significant rusting, Newmar Customer Service has approved the warranty replacement of all 8 of the lock-arm assemblies on our '05 MADP 4304. We also have a few, minor warranty items that could use attending... though nothing else on the scale of the lock-arms.
The question is... where, in the Western US (WA, ID, MT, OR, CA, NV, UT, or AZ) or Canada (AB or BC) would you recommend we go? Where's the "Best in the West" Newmar service center? We full-time, so our motorhome is our ONLY home and we are particular about who puts their hands on it (we're not PITA's... just don't need the aggravation of a job like this not done well).
We have an appointment with Worldwide RV in Mesa, AZ... but we've done some research online recently and have only read/heard BAD things about them. It's got us nervous.
We appreciate any input/reviews/experiences you'd care to share.
Thanks,
- John

I'm new to this site, so forgive the delayed response. I have had similar problems (i.e. finding a good tech in the West), and have found a good one.
His name is Mike Shroeder, and he's at Beaudry, Mesa, AZ. He is their "high end" tech, and he found the answer to a problem that Beaudry in Tucson could not find. The down-side is that when Mike is out "sick" no one is even close to his expertise in Mesa.
For Spartan issues: Massey's, Phoenix.

The two best "western" service experiences we have had have been at Robert Crist (Mesa, AZ) and Bretz RV (Missoula, MT). I don't think that Robert Crist accepts Newmar service anymore (they "grandfather" old customers but don't take new ones that I know if) because they are affiliated with Worldwide RV (also in Mesa) that IS a Newmar service location. Unfortunately, Worldwide has some really horrible reviews at RV Service reviews, so we've never gone.
We CAN tell you to avoid Western RV in Lynnwood, WA. That's where we bought our coach from... and they were HORRIBLE! Don't know if they've changed at all, but we would never go back there, even if they paid us.
Hope this info helps.

Thanks John for your answer.... it is soooo easy to just pop south here, where we live and good to know... My MH is just a little over a year old. Sofar I had hardly no problems to speak of, but who knows, what will happen down the road....
As I wait for the DW to retire (1 year and 5 month!!!?) I prepare myself for our RVing Fulltime life. Maybe one day we'll meet on the road or campground.... I'm waiting for my IRV2 sticker
Thanks again and RVgreetings

I like Freedom RV in Tucson AZ. Bought the motor home from them, was treated great and their service thus far has been just as great. Also understand that they recently hired some long term and highly qualified technicians that previously worked at Beaudry. I am going back for some warranty work and installation of some options in Nov. Stop in and talk to the owner. His office is by the front door and his door is always open.

After moving from Florida two years ago, we had the same questions. We tried World Wide, Mesa; Beaudry, Tucson; and a few others. As our warranty was about to expire, and I was considering driving to Nappanee or North Trail, we happened upon La Mesa, Tucson. Joseph, a service manager, and Scott, a Tech., not only took care of us, but made me want to tell others about it. We were elated to find good western service for Newmar.

In Northern California, I recommend R-Mechanic in Livermore who has done Newmar warranty work on my coach and is also Spartan authorized.
