We currently have a 95 Winnebago Adventurer, 34 footer and have found we really like the whole RV experience. We now want to upgrade to a Newmar, at least 38 foot. It seems in our research that the 38 to 40 foot models have much better handling characteristics, mostly due to wheel base length to overall length ratios. Can any body provide any comments about which chassis or models they think have good handling and towablity,(we pull a 16 foot enclosed trailer with my Model T in it. Thanks!

Sounds like your looking for a DP for what your towing. All the 2008's come with Comfort Drive and they leave the driving to them, almost.
Welcome to the Newmar forum.

Hi Mike,
When it comes to Newmar, consider focusing on the floorplan, NCC and amount of weight the coach can tow. Not knowing the weight of the trailer and its' contents this is the only concern I would have. Newmar coaches do vary in the weight they can tow. The Aire line is consistant at 10K lbs and up. The Star line is 10K lbs and under.

With Comfort Drive, on all the diesel pushers I would not be too concerned with how the coach will drive.

Find the floor plan you like and see what the specs are.

Heck, you might be able to get a Model T in the Newmar All Star toyhauler.

I have 2 young kids, so I ordered a Newmar Ventana 3942 with bunkbeds. It can haul my Road Runner on a trailer (5500-6000 pounds) with no problems.

Newmar was the only Class A I could find with bunks and a towing capacity > 5000 pounds (at the time).

Check the Newmar floorplans, and come back and ask these experts more questions when you find the plans yo like.
