Who is the manufacturer of the touch screen that is used for controlling the utilities in the '07/'08/'09 Essex? It is the optional one found in the bedroom. Mine has seemed to developed a problem, the buttons on the screen along the bottom are operating one left of where they should be. I thought prehaps I could find some trouble shooting on line.

Have you "stored" the coach batteries. I have had trouble with the zone 1 ac sensor and that took care of the problem. If not maybe it is a progamming issue with the e-plex system. I hope it not a monitor issue I hear they are little expensive.

ED&D out of Florida. E-Plex is it's name and you can only get it replaced or repaired thru Newmar. They have a pact with Newmar. Won't give out the programing either.

Whenever I have problems with my E-plex system, the first thing I do is shutdown all 12v to the coach then turn it back on. That reboots the E-plex and often fixes things.

I use the use/store switch to do that.

Sorry to be so long in responding. I was up in Fort Wilderness where WiFi has yet to be discovered. Anyway, I tried shutting the power down. No change. Later, accidently it appears to be fixed. My wife, Cherrie, lighting the screen up, touched the right bottom corner, where the "Preferences" selection was, and all worked normal again.

Normally I start the screen by touching the top right and my wife the bottom middle. So, I will describe the issue in case anybody runs into it.

Problem: Touch Screen Issue.

Description: Selections along the bottom work okay from left to right until you reach "Gen". Nothing happens when "Gen" is selected. Push the next one "Tanks" and the "Gen" selection appears. Select "Pref" and the "Tank" appears. "Pref" selection is not available. In addition, there was a couple of sub-selections, like the "EMS" on/off that did not toogle.

Correction: From the standby black screen, touch the right bottom corner that "Pref" would be. Screen should light with "Pref" selected.

Conclusion: This seemed to have fixed it, at least it did for me. Thought I would share it for others to try if they are faced with a similar issue.

Thanks for the help guys!

Peter

Glad it wasn't the screen. I don't like the front screen and use the rear more.
I have suggested that they make the rear screen a wireless remote. The coach needs another remote.
