Hi Stripe34,
Yes, SOB coaches stay at the Newmar facility. There are several reasons:
1. Waiting for new coach delivery.
2. Waiting for service (Newmar does service SOB coaches)
3. Taking the plant tour.

We parked in the overflow lot for a couple of days when we stopped by for our appointment with Michelle (to help with specials for our order) in our SOB. During a plant tour I took at the time the guide mentioned that SOB rigs were welcome.
When we went back for our factory delivery we snagged a site in the full hookup lot. Our SOB was there for a few days before we moved it out and moved the new coach in. Apparently the office was getting complaints from Newmar owners that an SOB was taking up space meant for those there for service. Once they learned why we were there the complaints went away.
Especially if in the FHU area it would be a courtesy if you'd let Jeanie know why you are there so she can fend off any grumbling, regardless of what you're there with.

Sounds like our rig will be in production 9/9-9/14. So our little SOB will be parked @ Newmar as we watch the build, me with a big dorky excited grin all the time :-). Can't wait for our new home! Wish the S&B would sell, too!
Thx -

We will be arriving on Saturday 8-27 to drop off our coach for some work. We will stay Saturday and head to the airport on Sunday afternoon as it will be staying there for 2 weeks. Look forward to seeing others there.

Hi all!
We expect to arrive at the factory on Friday 8/26 (tomorrow) to have some warranty work done on our 2016 Ventana 3725. If someone would be kind enough to "cone" a FHU site for us we'd be greatly appreciative! Thanks!

We've never been up to the factory. Is it necessary to have someone save a spot? We are arriving Safurday afternoon/evening. Thanks in advance

It is not necessary to have someone save you a spot but there are full hook-up spots and others that I seem to recall are water and electric only. Typically there are spots available somewhere. Worst case you dry camp in the lot until the next day when someone will undoubtedly leave. Take your time to enjoy the experience. We met folks there the first time who have remained great RV friends to this day. It's not fancy camping but the whole experience can be a lot of fun. Good luck.

It used to be Newmar's policy that saving spots was not permitted. First come first served.

I believe it is still Newmar position that first come first serve. You can easily check with Jeanie in the office to see what spots they have folks in.
