Not a camp grounds it is a repair facility. Most are back ins up to a chain link fence. There are some that are back to backs, so if no one is in them, you could drive through but you can't take up two sites or hang out into the drive, so you have to disconnect and leave the trailer in the lot. There is a lot across the street that you can leave your trailer in.

The repair buildings are large buildings and they stack the coaches in like cord wood at 6:00 am and then un stack at 2:00 pm.

I tend to agree with Floridakamper. These ""place a cone" requests appear to be getting out of hand. The entire camp will be loaded with cones if this continues. I thought it in very poor taste when it was first suggested and done.

This type of behavior can only lead to abuse of privilege. "I have five fiends going to be arriving over the next few days........I'll block out the first row completely!"

Maybe there's hope???

I'll be there today as well. I have never parked in the full hook ups (sigh ).
I am familiar with the overflow areas though. Lots of nice people there too.

Cheers,

Dave

We're arriving tomorrow (Tuesday).
PLEASE DON'T PUT A CONE OUT FOR US.
We'll stick with the Newmar policy of first come first served.
Would we like a full hook up? Absolutely.
But what's fair is fair. We'll take what we get and be appreciative.
Please think about it before you do something you shouldn't.
Policy's are put in place for a reason.
Thank you for your consideration.

Just a process that has worked for years.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Safe travels.

I realize that everyone has there opinion but if I had an inconsiderate moment you would think it could be said in a better way. It was a thought that's all I didn't mean to cause take anything from anyone. Sorry

Hey TLC, don't take it personal, it is not you, this "save a cone thing" is just a trend that has been building over the last couple months in this thread.

We tow a trailer also, there are only 5 pull through sites that you can fit in with the trailer. I believe numbers 111 through 115. When we arrive, we usually end up in the non-sewer area for a day or two until we find someone leaving one of the 5 spots then we hurry down and place ourselves in it. We try to park at the very end of the fence in the non-sewer area and keep the trailer connected.

Good Luck and safe travels.

Hey, Don't sweat it! I was not slamming you, just a somewhat unfair trend. If every customer of Newmar was an irv2 member it may have been doable. But, at the moment they are not.

Anyway, again, no slam on you, WE all get antsy to get a spot at Camp Newmar!

Cheers,

Peter

Your post reminds me of a true story that happened several years ago.

The 5 or so pull through spots in the full hook up main lot must be used facing Arnott St.

Several years ago a guy arrived and parked the wrong way facing Delaware St., which placed his hookups on the wrong side and he plugged into the wrong pedestal.

Newmar service techs upon returning a coach to adjacent spot unhooked the wrong way guy and plugged in the correct coach.

The wrong way guy upon returning found his coach unplugged and confronted the innocent owner.

A fight broke out and the police were called to break up the fight.

Red face Help with contacting service advisors

I can not get a return call on the status of my coach. I was in for service last week (warranty). They needed to keep the coach for 2 days so we came home instead of staying at Oakwood resort(Newmar covered). Any way can not get tech advisors to return calls. Thank goodness the tech working on my coach called today with update but still have not received a call from advisor
Glad I have a great tech working my coach. Anyone know the secret code?

We are having service work done at Camp Newmar. Our service adviser had a death in his immediate family yesterday and has been out. Not sure if it is the same, but could be the reason for delays.
