We also took the factory tour twice while we were here, learned something different each time. FWIW there are currently two New Aire's on the line, the first two regular production units after the two prototypes and the two currently at the FMCA rally. One will be in the finish area probably Tuesday or Wednesday, and the other a few days after that, so anyone taking the tour next week might get lucky. We really wanted to take a close look at one, but are a bit too early. We'll just have to catch one somewhere up the road.

Folks, it's against Newmar's policy to save sites or move cones.

It's always been first come, first served.

Please don't use our forum to circumvent Newmar's policy.

Thanks!

mt comfort has one on the lot and they have a youtube video of it up...so i tend to think that these are not the first two production units...not that is matters, though....

First Trip to Camp Newmar July 23, couple questions

Hello, making first trip to CN, arriving next Sunday the 23rd. I'll be solo as the boss is staying home w/dogs etc. Will be towing our Jeep Wrangler. Any input is appreciated!
1) Driving in from southern Wisconsin campground on Sunday. Should I take my time and get there mid-late afternoon, or push it to get there early afternoon. I'm not worried about full hookups, just want water and electric. I've heard about overflow and that seems fine, just don't want to get there and have no place to park!
2) I know there's a lobby (with internet?) is there anywhere to shower? Usually run and or bike daily. Could wait till I get the coach back in the afternoon, but at least some days might want to get a shower in earlier, like when I'm going to hang out in the lobby for a while after a workout.
3) Any input is appreciated, scheduled for the full week.

Hi MikeD1,
You will have a place to park (at least E/W). Newmar schedules coaches for service so everyone has a place to park. The only problem is when people DON'T LEAVE or get there WAY AHEAD OF TIME. There are no showers. There is a dump station next to the FHU sites across from the customer service center.

As to exercising, you are in the heart of Amish cooking. During your stay you are going to gain weight. That's just the way it is.

For me, I'd get to CN on Friday evening or Saturday, at the latest.

Thanks for the input Gary! Can't get there till sometime Sunday as I have a reservation for camping in southern WI Saturday night. Heck, as long as I have a place to park I'll be okay. Guess I'll just have to ride, run and swim longer than usual to be able to enjoy that Amish cooking

While at Camp Newmar I buy a guest pass to Eastlake 24, which is walking distance from building 42.
Eastlake Nappanee – Eastlake Athletic Clubs
They have incredibly reasonable prices on a week long guest pass, it's open 24 hrs/day, and they also have showers.

Ummmm...I didn't? I just said we were leaving in a couple hours. I believe a couple others were leaving too. That means at least one site was opening up, which is something we all let each other know about.

It wasn't directed you, my post just happened to be after yours.

Your post is fine.

I was referring to a previous post that has been removed.

For breakfast, I'd highly recommend the main street coffee shop. Great ham+egg and bacon+egg croissants and bagels.

Hey everyone. The thread has gotten quiet. Anyone there?

We will be heading up to CN for some warranty work 8/7-8/9 and will be arriving this Saturday. Hopefully there will be a full hookup site available when we get there.

Thanks!
