Vinny,

Thanks! That's a great idea of adding a second Oasis panel in the aft bath. She's going to be a beauty.

We may pull out of Sedalia today, putting us in Nappanee sometime tomorrow. It's been raining for the last 24 hours and the next 48 aren't supposed to be any better, possibly worse. We will be sorry to miss tonight's fulltimer dinner as well as tomorrows programs

I'm very concerned about getting out of our site. We're all on grass and we have a "lake" in front of the coach, already scarred with deep ruts from past events. If it were not for our service appointment next week we'd just sit and wait for it to dry up, which it's supposed to do starting Sunday.

Once again our travel plans are being dictated by the need for warranty service but I suspect if we wait through another couple of days of rain we'd be one of a 100 rigs stuck in the mud.

Hi All,
My wife Alison and I will be arriving at Newmar Thursday Oct. 19th, for the factory tour at 10AM, and a meeting with Michelle Howard on Friday Oct. 20th for final selection of finishes and specials. We would love to meet up with, and chat with all who are there during those days. This will be our first coach and we are very excited to join the Newmar family! Thank you all who contribute to this site. You all have been absolutely invaluable in helping us to plan what we hope will be our "last coach first", and feel very confident in our new venture, knowing we have such a great group of people here to help us newbies along our journeys. Hope to see you at Newmar!

Thanks Bill,

It hasn't been without some arm twisting. At the Hoots Rally two weeks ago I found out why that was so by pure accident. I was talking to Ron Stichter Head Engineer and he said "why would you not just turn it on and leave it on?" So I realizes that the problem wasn't that they could not do it, the problem was they saw no need. I think this comes from not using the product the same way that owners or especially Full Timers do. When they only use a coach for a couple of weeks a year, several things do not occur to them because 1. It is not their coach so future maintenance isn't an issue. 2. Annoyance to your next door neighbor for six months a year with diesel smells is not an issue. 3. The excess burning of fuel for no reason is not an issue. Leaving it on all of the time then makes sense. But with me it just doesn't.

Also Oasis has to make a splitter so both the front unit and the rear unit can be plugged into the control unit. The only problem this causes (which to me is not a problem) is that if you turn on the diesel at the front unit it must be turned off at that same control. The same is true with the rear control. The issue with me is not turning it off, it is turning it on when I'm in the back of the coach about to step into the shower.

You can always disconnect either unit from the splitter and use just one of the locations. In my mind, and this will remain to be seen, if I had a choice of only one location, in a 4369 it would be in the rear. Also keep in mind this goes away with the Silverleaf system in the high end coaches. They have a glass panel in the front and in the bedroom that has control of the Oasis in both places.

The two shade switches, one for the sun shade and one for the full shade are the standard for the power shades. They operate independent of the MCO control unit.

Funny, Chad our sales person at Midway said after seeing that picture that he imagined me being like a dog in a kennel running back and forth. I told him I was and only stopped to lift my leg on the fence post once in a while.

We will still be here even though our coach is about to leave today or Monday for the dealer.

We are having a windshield put into the 2015 due to a large rock and the coach trying to occupy the same place at the same time. I'll be here all week. Stop by site #16.

Sites 17,18,19 are now blocked off for a crane. But the crane has come and gone, and only worked from within the building. I suspect they don't want something to fall on someones coach as in large steel beams that they are putting together like a kids erector set. They are not working today due to rain but are at the stage of covering the roof.

Lots of empty FHU sites as of 10:00 am this morning.

Got to camp Newmar in one piece. Vinny is now our neighbor (site 17). A few here that I suspect are "first timers", parked too far back in their site leaving too short of a space behind them for a longer rig. Wanted to park closer to the grass for the dog. Oh well, got Vinny as a consolation prize.
