Sure looks like a lot of available Dirt to put Coaches on.

More Pads might just be the solution - all they need is to run some electric.

We had a February pickup in 2016...

We used the a webcam in Goshen to monitor snowfall near Nappanee...

Good luck!

Do I need a heated water fill hose?

We'll be at Nappanee starting 1/15 for about a month.

We don't have a heated water fill hose and am wondering if this will be necessary given the winter temps there.

I am also concerned about snow. We are coming from Gaffney SC. Do they do a good job clearing around Newmar?

Any other tips for staying at CN in the winter?

Hi RMD3819,
Newmar has, in the past, asked you to use the water connection to fill the coach tank. Then turn off the shore connection (it is the winterized kind of connection) and use your tank for the coach. No need to leave the hose to the coach out in the cold. This is for the full hookup sites (Arnott Street) only. The water is turned off on the Delaware Street sites. One must go over to the dump station to dump and fill your water tank.

I don't drive much when there in the winter. There is salt on the roads. It can tear up the underside of a car.

Any place you do go, consider calling ahead to understand when they are open.

Do you think I will need a heated hose just to do a fill? I am looking at consistent below freezing temps and don't have much experience in cold weather RVing.

Tnedator-We are having a long list of warranty issues plus body damage/paint repair.

Hi RMD3819,
No heated hose needed just to fill the coach tank. Remember to remove the hose and store in the coach basement. Dump your black/grey tanks at the same time you fill the water tank. For me, I'd dump the black/grey tanks first. Remove the waste hose and store. Then I'd fill the water tank.

Do not leave the waste or fresh water hose out in the cold. They may freeze as stiff as a board.
