Arriving March 3rd

We will be arriving at camp Newmar on Sunday for repairs on our coach due to myself and an 18 wheeler trying to occupy the same space, he won. I assume the new campground is not open yet so we will head to the old one. How is the weather there? I am leaving Rapid City SD in the morning and I hope the roads won’t be too bad.

Bill

I am scheduled to get a recall taken care of on September 13th. I plan on getting there on September 12th and leave on September 14th. Will I stay at the new or old campground for this work?

I was wanting to get the repair the following week, but I was told the service center would be shut down the last two weeks of September.

Ray, they told me they would resend the information about the CG stay, prior to your arrival. I'm there May 1st and hoping the new CG will be open.

Camp Newmar

So we arrived this past for a week of warranty work. Woke up Monday morning to 2F - but nothing frozen on the coach. Ran the Oasis, floors cranked up and the heaters all night. A testament to the water compartment heater and insulation. The new service center is unbelievable - 53 service bays. The lounges are beautifully appointed. The new RV park they are building across the street will be equally special. Only for service appointments. The folks here are wonderful and our techs are magicians- resolving some pesky issues.

OK, the Newmar CS said he would send me an email confirming my service visit, but I have not received anything yet.

New Camp Newmar Campground

We are here presently. These are photos I took this morning. The new service campground will be directly across the street from the service facility. They plan to widen the road between the two sites, install sidewalks and street lighting. The concrete pads are poured - 59 of them. 53 for service and 6 for factory delivery of new coaches. The FHU services are installed. There will be asphalt driveways and grass areas. Inside the service building is a laundry (4 washers and driers - $4.25 per wash/dry load), a kitchen, two lounges - one for owners with pets, one for owners without. There is still quite a bit of work to be done and nothing has been happening since we have been here. Weather has been very cold. I hope this information is helpful to those planning on service visits. If you have additional questions, ask me and I will try and get answers.

Sweet! I am there for a Factory Pick Up May 13th so hopefully they will have it open by then. Not holding my breath, especially with the current lack of Global Warming.

Vagabells … yes thanks for posting this. It really helps folks that don't get up there as much to see what is going on. Looks like a really top notch facility.

Camp Newmar

I hope it is completed in time for you folks because it will be stunning. They told us this facility has no comparison in the country; and I believe it. We plan on returning this Fall for our annual service and to take the tour. The tours are shut down now as they are finishing the 2020 models ahead of the April shows and do not want any prying eyes - or so we have been told. And everyone is a pleasure to work with. Have a great visit.

Looks like they are back-in sites. Wonder why they laid the CG out with the sites perpendicular to the road? Harder to get into than if they laid it out with slanted sites.
