That's what I was thinking and agree with you that while the windshield was out, it was a good idea to replace the gaskets.

All in all, to my way of thinking, your girl is in much better shape with how it was done. BUT, it would have been nice to know all this in the beginning. I don't like surprises

Dennis works better for an Apple Fritter from Rise & Roll.

Ever hear of a Dr. opening a patient up and finding more than they expected? Not as common now days but back before MRI's and such it happened a lot.

As I see it they can do as they did, open it up and then let you decide or as in some other companies just refuse to do anything on any coach over five years old. We need to be careful what we ask for as we might just get it. The use of new better and different materials will maybe correct these types of problems in the future.

But at least now it is an up and running coach with only 17 k miles on it.

I just meant the policy change between signing the agreement and doing the work. They knew they were taking the windshield out to replace the gaskets. That's very different from finding more issues once the work is started.

I figured a nice pie and some fritters for the crew that worked on her. That is if I don't get too hungry as I'm transporting the cache.

Policy change aside, the labor rate has changed (up) since the original quotes and the material/parts pricing has moved up AND down.
Newmar honored the lower labor rate and charged me the lowest price quoted for supplies and parts, as they prepared the final bill including recently quoted work.

Power company was connecting the transformer to the utility feed today. The asphalt equipment showed up to start the topcoat soon! It's getting close.

Today was a very nice day. Yesterday would have killed a palm. Cold, wet & rainy.
More rain coming in late tonight.
We leave in the morning.

Heading west in the morning

Our nearly two-week stay in Nappanee ends tomorrow morning when we head back west to Montana and, eventually to our other home in Washington state. It took four days longer than originally planned to get everything done on our coach, but the extra time was worth it. Got all the warranty and service work completed...and, a bit more.

The Service Center crew was fabulous. We were treated very well and received top-notch service work. And, the morning tour of the production line was very interesting and informative.

And, while in Nappanee, we managed to check off many of the boxes suggested by NealC and others; breakfast at the Dutch Kitchen (3 times!), sweets at Rise 'n Rolls more times than I'm willing to admit, and...just tonight...ice cream from Rocket Science. The diet went out the window big time.

We met many forum members while here and thoroughly enjoyed putting faces with forum monikers. The camaraderie at the Service Center "Pet Lounge" was great as was that at Camp Newmar. Very enjoyable! We'll remember our experience here for a long time.
