It depends on your needs, I have 20G a month, I really don't remember what that unit costs, the company pays it, but I think my total bill is about $160 (with phone, iPad, and Mifi)

I ended up going with AT&T's version of the same thing, adding to my 10GB mobile share plan, for 20/mo. Paid 99 cents for the Velocity hotspot.

Verizon mifi jetpack. Most nationwide coverage. Been using it for years, very satisfied.
X4 ... love the JetPack. We have the external antenna on ours, too.

We also use Verizon Mifi. It's very nice to have internet on our PC's while driving. With our model of Jetpak we have an option for 5 connections. If you are interested in trying out cheap, PM me.

Lynn,

My wife works as we go down the road as well. We have the 15 G plan and for both of our phones the Ipad and the wifi we pay $207 a month. We charge it to her company of course. Being self employed that means it just comes from the left pocket instead of the right. But the main reasons we use it most of the time even if the campgrounds has wifi is it is fast and secure. So for video conference and banking there is nothing like it. It is really cool to be going down the road at 65 mph and my wife is on a video conference with her client in CA over in the right seat.
