Recently picked up our new 2006 essex. Seems to have excessive wing noise comming from the entrance door. Anyone had this problem. We traded up from a 2002 Revolution, which had some wind noise, but expected the Essex to be much better. The noise only occurs at speeds in excess of 65 mph.

You probably need to adjust the air powered lock on the upper jam side or replace the entire seal. The air locks (thats the click you hear when you release the park brake) gets quickly out of adjustment if you open the door with the park brake not engaged. To adjust it requires loosening the screws and moving it in the longated slots.

Hi Larry,

My 2 cents worth... I noticed today on my Essex that the air line that fills the door seal is cut almost in two and I have noticed it being louder lately. The line is located on the bottom hinge side of the door.

Oh well, something else to add to my list when we drop the coach off 2/26 for a complete repaint.

The round plastic knob that locks the top of the door jam. It catches the notched part that is adjustable.

The nylon wedge on the inside of the door frame is held on by 3 screws, but I do not see how it is adjusted. Over the past year, the wedge has cracked 3 times due to someone opening the door while the MH brake is off (usually someone opens the door when I am stopped when backing in to a space). Not sure how it is adjusted... or do you mean loose?
