I have and have had several window closures that have delaminated from the window. What is the best solution? 2 part epoxy? I am ready to drill and rivet!

Second. I have many drawer and table latches that have busted. What and where have you purchased replacement? Are they better or worse than factory?

Going to answer my own questions.

1. I am currently at Camp Newmar and the Tech working on my unit told me to use the same adhesive that they use to install windshields.

2. For sale at the parts counter for under $4.00 each. Not worth the hassle of mail order at this point.

Not sure about manufacturing, but they are sold out at Camp Newmar.

As far as things going wrong with Newmar's, they don't. But maybe they just don't go quite right.

I am very disppointed in the choice of windows in the high end coaches. We have had 3 where the closing mechanism has come "unglued" and 2 replaced because of "fogging". Currently all our Hrer windows (7) are fogged up. You can use Epoxy to reglue the closing mechansim, but you need to scrape off the black paint on the window where it mounts and then reapply paint to match the other windows.

I've had several delaminate. After I used epoxy on 2, and they both came off again, I let them fix it here. The tech did tell me they use the windshield adhesive, but it is important to remove all traces of the black "paint" before applying.

Getting them fixed is not the point. I can understand 1 or 2 windows, but not all of them. I know of 2 other coaches who had all replaced and are working on getting some of the second set replaced. I also now of about 30 2007-2008 highline coaches who had had window fogging issues. Throw in that the closing mechanism will come "unglued" for that glass. Hrer needs to change something or Newmar needs to find a new window supplier. I had the big window (replaced by Newmar 4/09) fixed by Suncoast desingers in Florida last November, that windows is made by Atwood.
