This is in regards to an '03 DSDP.
The front side window, the big one in the cab area, double pane, on the driver's side has started to fog up from between the two panes. Is there any solution besides replacing? I have seen local ads for those that say they can fix the problem. Any success with that approach?

Ed B, there have been several threads in the past couple of months on this subject. Several people have had success with the vendors, one in particular in Florida. Also, someone advised to get the repair done sooner rather than later as the windows get etched if you let it go too long.
Also, here is a link to a page at Jim@hitek where he fixes his fogged windows.
Good Luck!

The link shows a method that I have had some success with on patio doors in my home. I had success with one door and didn't succeed with two others. I drilled holes, left them open so moisture could escape, and it worked fine. On one door I used the compressed air to purge the moisture out and bang the window shattered. I used less than 5 psi and had holes for the air to escape, but 5 psi really adds up over a large area. On a third door I drilled the holes, used no compressed air but the moisture didn't escape. There seems to be something about convection that makes the method work sometimes and not others. You can leave some openings in the seal and it might work. The only sure way to succeed is to get the moisture out and get a good seal. How to reseal properly is something I have no knowledge about, but the outfit in Florida probably does this well. The advantage of using them is that you end up with windows that fit your RV.

I wonder if after you drilled the holes you could introduce some warm air from a hair dryer to speed up evaporation without creating too much air pressure??

I removed the window from the motor home, many screws to remove, and packed it into a shipping crate that I made. The crate was made with a 2 by 4 frame, on edge, with 1/2" plywood top and bottom. I packed Styrofoam around all of the sides of the window before shipping via Fed Ex. I sent it to Suncoast Designers, Inc in Hudson, Fl. and it was repaired and returned to me in a little over a week.
The repair cost was $150 plus return shipping of $40.
It looks great already installed back in the motor home.

Looks like a window replacement is on our list! We just bought our first RV! and are sooo excited! However, a '99 is going to have a few "issues". One being a fogged double window on the passenger side. Makes me crazy! Any ideas for a repair service in the Springfield, MO area?

The only place I have experience with is in Hudson, FL....Suncoast Designers. Google them. Not in MO but a high quality business.

I went ahead and used the window repair place, Suncoast Designers, in Hudson Florida. They have a 5 year prorated warranty instead of the 90 days offered by the outfit in Arkansas. I made a 2 by 4 and plywood case, as they mention on the website, and shipped the window to Florida. About a week turn around and about $40 shipping. No problem in taking out the window and putting it back in when it had been fixed. They charge $150 per window.

Arkansas window repair web site says 2 years, (Save yourself big $$$ - get a better warranty - a full two years - call or email the RV Fog Doctor for complete details on how to cure these problems) which is what I received. Besides I was only 30 miles from them when I found about them. I would not have wanted to remove that window by myself.
