Window Sealant/Caulking Used by Newmar

Anyone know for certain the particular sealant/caulking Newmar uses
around the windows? It's opaque, whitish. I'd like to know the precise
name, such as Geocel ProFlex...likely Camping World (close to me) would
carry it. When my dealer recently replaced the front driver's side window,
where the mirror is, glossy black was used. Before any sealant was applied
I questioned why, and was told "it didn't need to be sealed, that Newmar
had confirmed that it was unnecessary". Needless to say, I responded
that surely Newmar would NOT have said such, an instructed them to apply
the sealant.

Why don't you just call Newmar and ask if it needed to be sealed and if it does require sealant then ask them what they use. 1-800-731-8300

That's always an option, LJowdy, and I've used it often with good results;
however, I've found answers frequently pretty "instantaneous" on this great
forum. Thanks. Larry

Thanks, "007", but missed any reference to the sealant/caulking I'm
asking about. I'll give Newmar a call tomorrow. Appreciate all you do!

Thanks, again, "007"...but still I fail to find any information pertaining to
adhesives, although the word "Adhesives" is there...just nothing comes up
when you click on. Kindly, continue with me on this and guide me so as to
find the specific info I'm hoping to find under "Adhesives". Thanks! Larry

Should anyone else be interested...Newmar Parts told me today that
the sealant used by Newmar is 100 percent silicone by Dow Chemical,
which is available at many places, such as hardware stores.
