Windshield wipers haywired

At Nappanee for a few days and on the way here the wipers on my 2015 Dutch Star went haywired. The only button on the steering wheel that will work the wipers is the hi/lo and then only the Hi speed, and when the Off button is pushed the passenger side wiper stops at the bottom of the windshield like it should but the driver's side wiper stops at about a 30-40 degree angle right across the middle of the driver's view.

Newmar says this is a Freightliner problem and I need to go to a FL shop. None very close here and we're short of time with Newmar working on the coach in order to make our September reservations in Colorado. They have been very understanding with our rush order but still running short.

Has anyone had any experience with a problem like this? Last week the FL shop close to home (actually 90 miles from home) did the recall on the brake pedal and the guy was under the dash several times doing this while another mechanic was under the hood at the same time. I kind of feel one of them must have got against some wiring and caused this but have no idea where, how, or what. Could sure use some good advice.

I have no advice for you about your wipers.

However I can tell you in my experience, "finger pointing" between a coach builder and the chassis manufacturer is NOT uncommon..... and that "professional RV techs" at shops that charge $120+ an hour often break more things than they repair.
Good luck.

Give the shop that did the work a call and see if they can help trace the issue. Maybe one of their tech's had to move/remove something or other and at least get you close to where there might be a connection that needs to be re-seated, etc. Call the FL hotline.

My second move after being informed by the Newmar tech this was a FL problem was to call the FL Help Line, which was a big waste of time. I was told to take the coach to a FL shop and during that call the phone tech promised to e-mail me the wiper wiring schemetic to see if that would be of any help for me, or the shop. However, now 2 days later I still have not received the promised e-mail (am I really surprised at that). I'm beginning to think either the janitor or the newly hired college grad is answering the Help Line. Not knocking the newly college grads as I've been there myself but not to answer technical questions about these complicated machines.

Since Newmar installed the front cap, the windshield, and surely the wipers, doesn't this seem like a wiper problem should fall to Newmar? Or does the fact the wipers are controlled by the Smart Steering Wheel make it Freightliners problem? I almost got the runaround when the dash air wasn't blowing cold air but FL stepped up and fixed that problem, so wondering if that's what is facing me here.
