I have not used my wipers on my '07 Essex much at all since new. But, I have experienced three failures. Newmar was good enough to replace the entire assemble last year. I can guess I had about 8 operating hours on them and the right one failed again.

They are using a new design now and apparently not experiencing any issues. The new design, however has a different hole spacing as well as a diffentent plug interface. Having them replaced then requires body body and paint work to repair the old hole(s).

I've had it with mine. They are not reliable so I had them replaced with these new type. I have not yet used them as the coach is still at Newmar. I'm picking it up early next week and the weather looks like no rain. I will, however, pass on how they work in the future. I'm hoping they work great.

Peter

I have a 2007 Kountry Star and the wipers have not ever worked properly. NEVER. Will be at Newmar in August hoping to make them work.

PLEASE Peter let us know. I've had so many issues with my wipers that I'm afraid to drive on rainy days.

Hey!..Peter:

08 EX here, and no wiper failure....YET...although formerly owned 2006 Mtn. Aire sure exhibited wiper failures.

Couple of questions: Do ya know WHEN Newmar went to the "new design"?...and... can ya give a ballpark idea of the COST you incurred when installing "new design" including parts, body work, and paint??

Thanks. Steve

2206 Kountry Star, wipers have not worked correctly for the past 4 years. Gives me an excuse to not drive in the rain

Mark, Will do. I will post after the first good rain spell.

Steve, The costs look like $1,400 plus. If yes work without issue it will be well worth it. The other issue I had since new was a tendancy for the driver unit to kind of skip on the return stroke leaving troughs of streaks. The new design, though not yet tested, appears much more flexible. Hope you are well.

I do like the new wiper design much better. It has to work better from the get-go. The conversion is just a tad pricey.

My accidental fix of the wiper blow problem still performs nearly flawlessly after multiple dozens of raining/snowing driving hours and was done for about $5. I have since prettied up the mounting so it looks like OEM installed!

See this prior iRV2 posting for the solution.
