I see the duo therm sensor you referred to on the bedroom wall, but that wasn't the one I was missing. I'm missing the remote sensor for the little AcuRite 00782 readout we have velcroed to the kitchen wall. They're relative inexpensive, though, so I'll just replace it and put the new remote sensor either in the wet bay or on the other side of the tanks in the rear storage bay (the bay forward of the outside TV). At least I'll know where it is.

Wouldn't have a sensor in the bottom part of refrigerator???
If its a Norcold fridge there have been problems with cooling in box lower level.

007, I was not referring to any built in appliance, but to something the prior owner's had added. It's just a small indoor/outdoor temperature display. The instructions for it are here. They put the remote sensor somewhere. I'm not sure where it is or if it has gotten removed somehow. They are not expensive enough to worry much about, though.

We were hooked up for short periods in freezing weather. After filling the fresh tanks we unhooked from water because the hose would freeze at night. You mentioned using the washer, but, it is wise to have the grey tank open when using a washing machine and I don't know if in freezing weather it would drain or freeze up? I would be sure that drain stays clear or use the Laundromat.

MCJones, Last winter, with the 5er, we used a Pirit heated hose. I also put a heat tape on the pedastal along with a strip of insulated foil and also ran the heat tape up the inside of the piece of gutter our drain hose rests on and around the water connections on the 5er. The mistake we made last winter was not filling the fresh water tank since I was trying to reduce weight on the truck. When a pipe broke underground and they shut the water off to fix it, we had to use a six gallon portable tank to fill our fresh water from the other side of the park. With the DAPD, I'm not worried about water weight and can keep it topped off.
We do not use the washer/dryer in the DADP (never have), but do still take showers in the RV instead of the bath house/laundromat. We have a pattern of leaving the grey open until black is 1/2 filled. Then we close the grey and let if fill, finally flushing black first, then grey. That worked last winter in the 5er and should work this winter in the DADP and probably better as the wet controls are no longer exposed. The small heater Mr. D mentioned will replace needing to wrap the water connections with the heat tape.
As for adding external LP tanks, I think a small generic receiver hitch cargo carrier may suffice. With the tanks setting on that, they will be meet the requirement of being off the ground. When we go to move, that would be removed and the Blue Ox reattached.

I have to ask - you did not mention what type of heating system you have in the 09. IF it is an Oasis diesel fired, then LP gas will not be an issue for you. Our 08 had the Oasis option and I don't know if it was standard or an option in 09. If it doesn't, everyone I know really likes the Oasis heating and your next coach, if possible, should have it. We cook with a single induction cooktop and never use the stove (LP). Between that cook top and the microwave/oven unit. We never use LP.

Mark, I think the furnace is LP gas, but need to confirm that. I have the manuals around here somewhere. I would like diesel heat for sure. I think the water heater has LP backup to the electric. I like the idea of the single induction cooktop. I think we'll get one. Thanks. I did find another option that might help. We just got a mini storage locker today to empty most of the storage bays into. The open bay space will let us use a Vornado heater more effectively to heat the bays. That might help with the tanks also. A Vornado (or two) in the cabin along with the fan to circulate it should keep the top warm. These should drastically reduce LP usage.

Just the wet bay, pointed towards the water pump and tanks ut far enough away not to overheat them.
No, we have the storage bay refer/freezer and I leave it on all the time. Seems to create enough heat that I don't need to worry.
No, I didn't run the furnace BUT please remember that the PNW has mild winters, some winters we only get a dusting of snow or none at all and temps don't usually get into the +20's.

Thanks, Mr. D. We have a storage bay refer/freezer also, though it's not freezing like I think it should. It's also quite a ways from the wet bay with it being just behind the entry door and the wet bay is on the opposite in the back. I'll probably add a storage bay heater also once we finish emptying most of it into the mini storage.
