wiper problems

I've had a host of problems with the wipers and wiper arms on my 2009 Dutch Aire. So far Newmar has been responsive but still no fix. Most recent problem is wiper just flies off of the wiper arm when in use, every time it rains. Has anyone had similar problems?, or aware of a Newmar recall on these type of wiper problems?

thanks,
bobeb

The expensive wiper arms must be "torqued" per spec's. Then about 30 min or so retorqued. By doing so it "presses" the arm onto a splined cone shaft on the motor home. For the most part, once the arm is pressed on, if it is removed it must be replaced. The arm is pretty much a one time use thing. Once it "flys off" it will never stay on again. Mine did the same but also the sweep was way to much. The factory finally modified the linkage under the hood and GOT EVERYTHING FIXED for the first time in 2 1/2 years. it is a common problem, but no recall. Just stay after them.

We had a wiper problem with our 2009 Allstar. At first, the wipers would be going great and all of a sudden they would stop at the full left position.

I could guide them back manually and they would sort of work. The cure, apparently was to re-work the linkage. They have been fine since.
