The wood trim across the top of my living room/dining room slide came off. It was held on with three rows of double sided tape.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, did you use double sided tape again or something else to make the repair?

I did have the problem, and I did use the black(heavy duty)velcro tape...had to prop something up to hold it in place 'til it took hold.

They sell it as a commerial tape about 1 1/2" wide. HD or Lowe's would have it.

If it was mine I would drill and counter bore some screw holes, maybe 5 (evenly spaced). Screw the trim to the backing wall (where the tape was attached). Then press some dowel buttons into the screw holes. These buttons are available in different sizes, and materials, at Lowes and made in different materials. Finish appropriately.

The center portion (square) of mine came off as I was driving on a fairly rough road, hot outside temp, a couple of weeks ago. Tried to stick it back it place to no avail. Looks like the majority of my trim pieces have the 3 strips of double back tape and brads holding it in place. Cannot figure out why this pieces was just taped. I am either going to shoot a couple of brads in it, or do as Max suggested. I wonder why Newmar wanted this pieces easily removable therefore the use of double back tape only!

I spoke with the factory yesterday and was told they use double sided tape or a product called Sikaflex to hold the woodtrim in place. I purchased new double sided tape at Lowe's.
