Our 2006 Dutch Star is having a circuit board replaced...appeared to be significantly burned on one of the three circuit boards. Previous episode a few months ago we had an error message appear when we started the generator (overload). I shut down the generator and connected to shore power and the same message appeared. We disconnected and tried again and all was well. Our dealer checked it out and found it wasn't grounded well.
Three months later, with a couple of normal cycles between, and after the coach sat for Dec. and Jan I tried to start the engine and the batteries were too weak, so I started the generator with a boost and a jumper pack on the coach batteries. The same overload warning appeared. I shut down the generator, restarted it and all was ok. I then drove a few miles to home and connected the shore power and the warning appeared.
Any suggestionson problems I should look for after the repaired inverter is reinstalled?

Looking thru your pass posts I never saw mentioned the use of a SURGE PROTECTOR or one like this from RVupgrades EMS to protect your expensive electronics in your coach.
I have the Surge Guard wired before LOAD CENTER so both the shore line and Gen have to be checked out by the surge protector.
If you do have one see if the Gen is working thru it also.

We always use the Surgeguard, but it is not hard wired...I plug the surgeguard into power source prior to connecting the 50 amp power cord, so I know the generator is out of the surgeguard loop.
