'01 Alpine WS Wipers

Just tried out the windshield wipers and they are not working properly. I press the ws lo/hi button on the smart wheel and the wipers only move a couple of inches then stop. Pressed the button again and they moved a couple of inches then stop. Tried the intermittent setting and they only work for one full cycle.
I think I should start at the front of the coach and work my way back. However, not sure what I should check. Need some guidance from you wonderful people in helping to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance for your help & suggestions.
HAGD,
Alex

OK--not sure about the hi/low button function--trying to remember but think that button should activate the wipers... the ignition key may have to be in the on position [sometimes my wipers cycle when starting the coach????]
The intermitten button may be ok--you push the button once and the wipers cycle once, you then wait some number of seconds and push the button again and the wipers cycle again. The length of time you wait between button pushes sets the amount of time between the intermitten cycles. Perhaps setting the intermitten button might free the hi-low button--might also try cycling between the off and hi/low buttons too...only guessing......
