The 08 Alpines are very impressive. Much improved access to mechanics, Good new interior decoration and striking new colors.

However there is one feature that is needed = the new higher ceilings make it a problem for most women to operate the Fan-tastic Vents (Fans).
Fan-tastic Vents produce an controller that allows settings which allow 20 speeds from less than whisper quiet to super high volume. We ordered & Alpine installed them on the 3 Fan-tastic Vents on our customized 06 36MDDS.
They work in lieu of ACs in weather up to around 90 degrees with their thermostat feature that will boost fan speeds up to 10X depending on temperatures.

There is picture of the controller on page 3 of this web page.

If WRV listens to the women - they should be installing them on ALL new coaches. I don't believe women want to 'drag out' a ladder to operate the Vents/Fans.

Thanks for listening (reading)
Rick

We have an 05 and I changed all of ours to remote control units, especially the bathroom which in the o5 was an archaic reminiscent of the units we had in the 70's when the screen and the fan just ran together with this utterly beautiful noise. The other option is to change the knob style which comes with a rod which allows women such as my wife at 5'5" to open and close the vents very easily.

The standard toilet room fan for the 08's is the 1970's 4" diameter toy unit. I'm sure its a cost thing.

Rick,

You are so right...I heard this from every woman I saw in the new rigs at Newport!

Burk, please add this to our Focus Group list, along with the upgraded fan in the "potty" room (already on the list, Ted & Mike).

Thanks, Rick, for verbalizing this!
