1998 Alpine 36ft diesel coach

Engine door and gen slide will not open .When I push the on button, there is a padlock lit up in the locked position.Anybody have a solution to my problem? Much appreciated, Whalehouse

have you had these open before? Where is this padlock light, I don't have one.

Never noticed before but I too have a padlock symbol on my on/off switch for the slide and the engine/gen rocker switches. I have always left mine on so have never seen that light come on. Sorry, no help here.

Greg, I don't have my coach near but you could be right. I always thought those ON/OFF switches were redundant and like you mine are always on. I could see that the room slide switch might have a padlock symbol to show if the levelers were not down but the gen and engine door doesn't care so why there would be one on that switch I don't know. Something new to investigate!
