Hi everyone,
On our 36MDDS, 2001 coach when I started the heater fan this fall
it sounded like someone beating on a wash tub with a large hammer!!
I've removed the fan motor assy from the box under the dash and sure
enough, you can feel the bearings grinding when you turn the motor.
I have a couple of questions for the group:
1. Are these bearings replaceable? If so can someone recommend a vendor
in the Mesa, AZ area? That's where we're hold up for this winter.
2. If they aren't replaceable, does anybody know who made the motor assy
and where I can buy a replacement?
Thanks in advance for your help
Minor

If they are truly bearings I am certain they are replaceable. If they are bushings, good luck. I truly would not think that the motor as an after market product, WW Grainger, etc that they are very expensive.

Try this web site, they are the company that supplies the air conditioning unit and parts for the Alpines.

If the heater is the propane furnace, I believe they were all made by Suburban and they probably sell parts thru local RV supply outfits. You can use their website to figure out your model# & locate service near you. You might also find used parts doing a google search on "RV parts salvage" and contacting leads you find there.

I bought a replacement for Harolds 2001 coach at NAPA. If memory serves me well, it was a perlacement for a 90 series GM truck. It was an exact replaqcement. I would suggest you take the fan motor with you to most any auto parts store and they can match it up for you.
The good news, it only cost $16 and has a three year warranty.

When mine went bad, I removed it from the dash, noted the numbers on it and called Acme Air and they sent the replacement with mounting bracket and fan attached. I believe it was about 42.00 including shipping. I had it in just a couple of days. Acme supplied all of the parts for the dash heating and air.

Hi everyone,
Thank YOU Sammie and Sandy1. I checked the ACME Air web site and then called the Goshen, IN
parts department and ordered the new motor/fan combo (the web site had separate part numbers)
for ~$50 ups ground shipping. I installed it yesterday and now have air moving and no noise
when I turn it on. Great help everyone, thanks again

I apologize I thought it was your house heater not the dash heater.
