Can anyone tell me if there is another fuel filter that should be changed besides the one in the right rear side compartment. This is my friends 2001 Alpine with the 8.3 cummins engine. I know on my Caterpillar engine there is one located up on the engine.

Thanks, Sammie

Hello Sammie:

There is only one Fuel Filter on a 2001 Alpine, and it is located in the Engine Service Center on the PS.

We had a second one added 3 years ago - the former owner noted that he had to change his before the oil changes because it became clogged. Elkhart Coach Care suggested with add the second one - did and no more problems.
