2002 western rv alpine headlights

Does anyone know what automobile the headlight assembly came from. Assume it would be pre 2002 model auto.

As mentioned above, WRV used BMW E39 headlights on our coaches. Search the Alpine Coach forum and you will find a few threads on it. I changed mine with Depo brand projector beam headlights, and LED halos. They look like the ones shown above, but with bright halos. And more expensive.

There are tons of aftermarket E39 headlights on the market. Some have projector beam, some standard headlights like the ones on the coach. Some have halo lights, some don't. Some halo lights are halogen, some CCFL, and more expensive ones have LED's.

They are relatively easy to replace. If you get headlight assemblies with halos, you need to add wiring for them.

Can you expand more on the wiring required? Do you need a new harness or just some splicing?

They plug right in. Very simple install. There was a piece that came with the lights that was not used on my mh. No big deal , you can do it one hour. As mentioned above, if you want to utilize the halo day time running lights, you need to find swithed power, tap into that and run to the extra wire at the light fixture.

Just curious why you want to change out your headlights. Is it because you want sexy new ones or is it that your lights are clouded and yellow/?

Speaking for myself, it was a combination of both. The main reason was because my original lights were clouded and yellow. You can really see it in this picture, primarily in the orange area. The clear section looked almost as bad but the picture doesn't show it as well. I got the version with the projector beam style and the LED halo because I wanted sexy new ones if I was going to do it.

I am already to sexy! The lights are not lights anymore. They are clouded inside and out. I have used the 3-M four step snading and polishing until the linses are now paper thin.

I installed the new light with the halos and tapped the halos into the marker lights

Now I ordered the HID lights 8000 on eBay I want more light than the 55w light produce. i do a lot of nite driving from NJ to Cali twice a year so more light will be nice. I just bought I will let you know how they come out.

Jim, love your lights. I got an estimate of $1200 to re shoot the front end of our coach (too many rock chips) and I'm thinking a set of lights like yours would put the tie on the suit. Could you post a photo of where you spliced in for power to run your day time halo's.

I can't till january my coach is in Cali and I am in NJ.

I too just had my front end completely reprinted and it came out perfect.

I had really cloudy and yellow lights when I got the coach. I checked on Consumers' Report what they liked for restoration. Sylvania was the winner so I tried it. It took about an hour of elbow grease but the difference was amazing. I have a couple of before and after pictures that when I have a minute I'll try to post. The kit cost 20$ and was well worth it. When I eventually need to redo the front I may consider the "tie" route!
